Access to child in London

I have a child in London and can't get to see her as I live over here. Is there anyway around this. Paul taxi driver

Hi Paul, I presume that your wife or partner is living in London with your child and, because you live here, you cannot get over to see your daughter. This is essentially a matter of English law and the question arises as to whether or not you can require your wife / partner to bring the child somewhere to allow you easier access to see her. I suspect that no Court in England would order the child to be brought to Ireland because that would be outside of the jurisdiction of the British Courts (unless, of course, your wife / partner agreed to that – and then there would be no need for a Court Order in the first place).

My suggestion is to talk to your wife / partner and ask if your child could be put on a plane to Dublin and you could have here for a few days. If this doesn’t work, you could ask her to bring the child to Hollyhead or maybe Heathrow Airport – some place where you could go over and back in a day – and all this talking should take place before you go to law.
