Bad Dental Job

txt: Paid 5k for braces took 2yrs wasnt happy put braces on again for another 2yrs and 4 teeth removed not happy doing this again can i claim compo?

Any person who has been provided with a service that is not up to the normal standard and the service is negligent and is in breach of the contract of service then they are usually entitled to compensation.  This listener should consult another Dentist, one who is a specialist in that area of dentistry and get him or her to write a report saying that the treatment with the first dentist was negligent. Then armed with that report the listener should consult their Solicitor with a view to claiming redress.

Having said that it should be noted that taking a case against a professional such as a Dentist or Doctor, an Accountant or Architect or a Lawyer isn’t as simple as suing a plumber because the toilet leaks.  Professional services require a lot of training simply because things can go wrong during the course of that treatment or service that can be outside of the Professional’s control – in the medical case such as infections and so on.    That is why it is important in this case for the listener to get a report saying that negligent treatment had occurred and bring that to the Solicitor.
