5 Year land lease renewal

Does that five-year rule about renewing a lease apply to land? John.

Hi John.  This rule relates to the entitlement to renew a tenancy under the Landlord and Tenant Amendment Act 1980 and involves the expiration of a tenancy over five years the automatic right of a tenant to renew, subject to rent review clauses. 

If it is agricultural land, no it doesn’t.  If it is land involving the running of a business, then it does.
